We will only collect nonpublic personal information that is necessary to conduct our business. We collect information about you from the following sources:

∑ Information obtained when verifying the information you provide on an application or other forms. This may be obtained from your current or past employers, or other financial institutions where you conduct financial transactions.

We will maintain strong security controls to ensure that member information in our files and computers is protected. As a member of the credit union, you will always have the opportunity to make necessary changes to ensure that our records are complete and accurate.
We will share information only when absolutely necessary. We will share information only to administer the products and services we provide, when required to do so by the government, or when we partner with other businesses to offer a broader array of products and services. We will partner only with businesses that follow strict confidentiality requirements. The businesses we select will offer products designed to enhance our membersí economic well being. Under no circumstances will we authorize these firms to charge your account without your express consent, and we will not sell member information. If you decide to terminate your membership with Galaxy Federal Credit Union or become an inactive member, we will not share information we have collected about you, except as may be permitted or required by law.
HOW WE PROTECT YOUR INFORMATION
We restrict access to information about you to those employees who need to know that information to provide products and services to you. We maintain physical, electronic, and procedural safeguards that comply with federal regulations to guard your information. Our employees are trained in the importance of maintaining confidentiality and member privacy at all times.
HOW YOU CAN HELP TO PROTECT YOUR PRIVACY
Members can help to protect their privacy by:
∑ Protect your account number, card numbers, PINs and passwords. Never keep your PIN or password with your ATM, debit, or credit card.
∑ Use caution when disclosing your account numbers, social security numbers, etc. to other persons. Always beware of individuals that call you to verify your personal information. Official credit union staff will have access to your information and will not call to ask for it.
∑ Keep your personal information with us current. Always notify us of your address change (must be in writing and signed by the member), a telephone number change, or of any other information. It is important that we have current information on how to reach you. If we detect potentially fraudulent or unauthorized activity, we will attempt to contact you immediately.
