Bank with Galaxy FCU
When you open an account with us, you are a member. There is no limit to how much or how often you can deposit into your savings. Galaxy membership is free, however, all members must maintain a minimum balance of $5 in their savings accounts. Membership in our Credit Union is open to anyone who lives, works, worships, attends school, or volunteers in Venango County and their immediate family.
Savings Accounts
Galaxy offers two different types of savings accounts:
- Regular: Opened with a minimum deposit of $5.00.
- Youth: Opened with a minimum deposit of $5.00. We also offer our youth members cash for their good grades!
Checking Accounts
Checking (share draft) accounts from Galaxy have no minimum balance requirement and no monthly fee or per check charge. Use our virtual branch to manage your account, including our free bill payer.
Certificates of Deposit (CDs)
CDs are offered at competitive rates with terms of three to 60 months. Dividends are calculated daily and paid quarterly to the CD.
Individual Retirement Accounts (IRAs)
IRAs are offered as an accumulation account and are fully insured up to the NCUA limit. We offer traditional, Roth and educational IRAs. Dividends are calculated daily and paid quarterly. Our IRAs have no maturity date and can be opened with a minimum of $50.
Deposits into an IRA can be made through payroll deduction, account transfer or whenever you want.
Christmas Clubs
Christmas Clubs are offered as an accumulation account and deposits can be made through payroll deduction, account transfer or whenever you want. Christmas club dividends are calculated daily and paid quarterly.
Clubs are automatically closed on 10/31 of each year and funds are deposited into your Galaxy checking or savings account for availability on 11/01.
